During my time as a newspaperman, I had the honor to meet several Pearl Harbor veterans. They were unique among the veterans’ community — real heroes all. They were a special bunch. Their stories were chilling. They’re all gone now, unfortunately. All we can do is honor their sacrifice and never forget.
