The Chicago Tribune is reporting two “mass shootings” within 12 hours in the Democrat-controlled city of Chicago. The first shooting occurred just after midnight in the West Garfield Park neighborhood followed by the second in Gresham.
In the West Garfield Park shooting, The Tribune reports victims include:
- An 18-year-old woman was shot once in the left leg and she was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she had been listed in good condition.
- A man, 25, was shot once in each leg and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he had been listed in good condition.
- A 23-year-old woman was shot once in the left buttocks and she was taken to Stroger, where she had been listed in good condition.
- A woman, 29, was shot once in the buttocks and she was taken to Mount Sinai, where she had been listed in good condition.
- A 34-year-old woman was shot once in the thigh and she refused to be taken to a hospital; police said she “left the scene in good condition.”
In the Gresham neighborhood shooting, according to the Tribune, victims included,
- A 27-year old woman who suffered a graze wound to the hip. She was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center and was in good condition
- A 47-year-old man who suffered a gunshot wound to the face. He was taken to U. of C. and was in critical condition.
- A 32-year-old man who suffered a gunshot wound to the lower right back. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and was in critical condition.
- A 50-year-old man who suffered a gunshot wound to the right side of his body. He was taken to Christ in critical condition
- A 36-year-old man who was shot in the left ankle but refused medical assistance at the scene. He later self-reported to Christ in good condition.
The Mayor’s office has not responded for a request for comment by Armed American News. No fatalities were reported in the recent spate of violence plaguing The Windy City.
