CHICAGO, IL – A special City Council meeting has been called by the Chicago Aldermen to be held Friday at 11:00 AM specifically to address the ongoing bloodshed. According to Chicago’s NBC 5 News, “The meeting, slated for 11 a.m. Friday, calls for Chicago Police Supt. David Brown to present his strategy or face a vote of no confidence if he does not appear.”

Mayor Lightfoot offered some resistance but has agreed to appear, calling the meeting “unnecessary.”
