According to the Atlanta Police Department, at approximately 1:30 pm ET, Saturday, Nov. 20th, 2021 there was an “accidental’ discharge of a handgun at airport security.  Police later obtained a warrant for convicted felon, Kenny Wells, 42 after he immediately fled the premises.

According to airport police commissioner, Maj. Reginald Moorman, Wells now faces charges that include carrying a concealed weapon at a commercial airport, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, discharging a firearm and reckless conduct. Fortunately, there were no injuries.

As of this writing, Wells is still on the run.
