In Texas, 22 new gun bills signed by Governor Abbot from the last Texas legislative session, go into effect today. Of those 22 bills, the one getting the most attention is HB 1927 otherwise known as the Firearms Carry Act of 2021.
HB 1927 Officially known as the Firearms Carry Act of 2021, allows the permitless carry either openly or concealed of a firearm by a law abiding citizen not otherwise prohibited from possessing a firearm. Known as Constitutional Carry, Texas becomes one of 21 other states to recognize permitless carry.
